Meta One's business tiers: what to pay for when an agency runs your page
Meta announced Meta One on 15 September 2026, with four creator and business bundles listed from $14.99 to $499 a month. What each tier lists, which features matter when an agency posts for you, why the subscription belongs on your account, and one older post of ours this changes.
Short answer
Meta One, announced 15 September 2026, lists four creator and business bundles: Essential from $14.99, Advanced from $49.99, Expert from $149 and Max from $499 a month. Advanced is the first to list team access without password sharing and exportable analytics. Buy it on your own account, not your agency's.
On 15 September 2026 Meta put prices on things business pages used to get for nothing, or could not get at all.
The Meta One announcement lists four bundles for creators and businesses.
Essential from $14.99 a month. Advanced from $49.99. Expert from $149. Max from $499.
Every one of those says "starting at." And Meta adds that plans, benefits, pricing and availability may vary by region, by app and by account.
So the price you see may not be the one I saw.
Here is the complication for anyone paying VALORAE Media, or any agency, to run their page.
Some of what Advanced sells overlaps with access you can already give for free. Some of it does not exist anywhere else.
1. Read what each tier lists
From Meta's announcement, the business bundles break down like this.
Essential lists management tools, expanded Meta Business Agent access on WhatsApp for customer replies, and a verified badge with impersonation protection, pending verification.
Advanced lists scheduling stories up to 30 days ahead, links in organic content and reels, exportable analytics with deeper audience insights, team member account access without password sharing, and more Business Agent capacity.
Expert and Max mostly add Business Agent capacity, described for scaled and large teams.
For a business whose agency posts video, Advanced is where the relevant features start.
2. Do not pay for access you can already give
"Team member account access without password sharing" sounds like the thing every guide tells you to set up.
It is close to it. And you may not need to pay for it.
A business portfolio already lets you give an agency task-based access to Instagram, Facebook and now Threads, with no password changing hands. VALORAE Media covered that in never give your agency your password and in last week's Threads access post.
I could not find a page from Meta that explains how Advanced's team access differs from portfolio access. It may cover account types or apps a portfolio does not.
Until Meta says, treat it as overlap. Set up the portfolio first, for free.
3. Weigh the two features you cannot get elsewhere
Two items on the Advanced list do not have a free equivalent that I know of.
Links in organic reels. For a business, a tappable link on an unpaid reel is the whole point of half its content. If that works the way the announcement reads, it changes what a reel can do for you.
Exportable analytics. This one matters for how you check your agency.
If you can export the numbers yourself, you stop depending on the screenshots in a monthly report. Our post on whether your agency is doing a good job argues you should read the source numbers. An export makes that easier.
Neither is worth $49.99 a month in the abstract. Both might be, if your page drives sales.
4. Put the subscription on your account
This is the part I feel strongly about.
Your subscription, your card.
If the agency buys Meta One on its own account to run your page, the features live with the agency. When you leave, they leave.
The same logic runs through who owns your social accounts. The account, the payment method and anything paid for on top of it should belong to the business.
If your agency suggests a tier, fine. Let them recommend. You buy.
5. Know what the Edits assistant is and is not
Meta's announcement also mentions Edits Plus inside Meta One: more cloud storage for syncing projects across devices, and more use of an Edits assistant.
TechCrunch reported on 30 September 2026 that the Edits assistant began rolling out. It is a chatbot that reads an account's follows, views, retention, likes and shares, and suggests ideas.
TechCrunch says creators get limited free use, with more through Meta One.
It analyses. It does not edit. The Edits app lead, quoted by TechCrunch, said creators wanted a tool that handles the analysis, not the creative work.
For a business, that is a second opinion on your numbers. Not a replacement for whoever makes the videos.
6. Correct what we said last week
On 27 September we published Meta Business Suite vs a paid scheduler. It says Business Suite has no paid tier above it.
Meta One's announcement predates that post by twelve days, and Advanced lists scheduling stories 30 days ahead and other publishing features.
Business Suite itself is still described as free. But Meta now sells paid publishing features alongside it, so "no paid tier" no longer holds as written.
Read that post with this one beside it.
7. Note what Meta has not said
Three gaps stood out when I read the announcement.
How Advanced team access differs from a business portfolio. The announcement lists the feature. It does not explain it.
Who gets organic reel links. The line about plans varying by region, by app and by account covers this too. Your account may not see what the announcement lists.
What the exports contain. "Exportable analytics with deeper audience insights" is a description, not a spec. Until you can open one, you cannot tell whether it holds the numbers your agency reports to you.
None of these is a reason to avoid Meta One. Each is a reason to read your own account's plan page before paying, and to check the features after.
8. Decide in three questions
Before you subscribe, answer these.
Do you need links in unpaid reels? If your content sells, maybe yes.
Do you want to export the numbers yourself? If you have ever doubted an agency report, probably yes.
Is your agency already set up in your business portfolio? If not, do that first. It costs nothing.
If the answer to the first two is no, you can skip Meta One for now and lose very little.
